Inquiry:  What is your deepest understanding of the relationship between fear and courage?

Personal Integration:  Follow the same instructions as above in the monologue or repeating question format.  As you explore this question notice if there is fear pre- exists the cultivation of courage as you scan your past life for your most brave moments.   Similarly, notice if there is fear during the moments of courage itself.  You might find that there is a paradoxical relationship between fear and courage, and that it is rare that there is one without the other.  This isn't something to be believed, but something to explore.   Every time you take a deep leap in your life into love, new work endeavors, new challenges where you don't know what you are doing, or simply going into the unknown in any part of your life reflect on whether fear is an ingredient of your experience before and during your new expansions.

Inquiry 2:  When in your life have you experienced fear when you took the greatest challenges?
Personal Integration 2:  Follow the same instructions as above in the monologue or repeating question format.  With this question you really want to focus in for a steady period of time.  See if you can isolate the 5 moments in your life where you've been most afraid, yet have summoned up the courage to do what needed to be done.  See if this realization of the connection between fear and courage can be a catalyst for you to remember more and  more that when fear arises, courage also calls on you to respond.    Learning that fear isn't the enemy, and that it is potentially  an ally for life is very important.   It may help us break through a lot of new age beliefs that we need to completely overcome it, rather than coexist with it as a necessary ingredient to grow.
Inquiry 3:  What is the relationship that can exist between fear, courage and acceptance? (use a specific example if possible)
Personal Integration 3:  Follow the same instructions as above in the monologue or repeating question format.  When fear arises it is quite important that we recognize and accept it.  This is one of the key parts of developing courage.  In this question, can you isolate a best example of fear, and accept and acknowledge it by saying, "Fear I accept you!"  Then see what your inner wisdom is guiding you to do or not do, say or not say, be or not be, to manifest your authentic courage.   This is the fulfillment of a dream for all of us as we can transform our greatest fears into dignified challenges that can be catalysts for courage.
Inquiry 4:   What prayers or intentions do you want to send  yourself to support courage when you are afraid?
Personal Integration 4:  Follow the same instructions as above in the monologue or repeating question format.  One of the greatest practices that we can learn is the art of purifying our intention or prayer.   We ask what or whomever we conceive as our higher power for the courage we seek.   It is helpful to put our hands on our heart,  palms together, or simply to bow in a state of being that is humble,  recognizing we need to find a power greater than our ego.   This humility is essential to cultivate prayer.  Let yourself again identify the specific fears in your life that need courage, and experiment by staying with a prayer like, "May I have the courage to... or "If possible, let me be able to..."   It is important with prayer that it is never demanding, and always asking for a quality that will serve everyone's well being.
