Essential Message: Almost all of us are terminally afraid of facing that of which we are most ashamed. It takes great courage and humility to embrace this dreaded place. Profound transformations in life are often embedded in releasing the shame that we hold in solitary confinement.

Inquiry 1:
What am I ashamed of inside myself?  Can I understand the pain and fears that have kept me more isolated? Can I take a leap of faith, and share it with someone I trust?

Personal Integration 1:
Inquiry can be done alone or with a friend, lover, or counselor. Take one to five minutes or longer, to express what is most essential. When inquiring with another, it is important that he or she stays receptive and neutral. Repeat the inquiry as needed to maintain focus. Appreciate your effort and any new awareness. Allow whatever is incomplete to fuel the motivation to further inquire and experiment.
